Using his own experiences Tom will guide you through the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you better understand who you are and why you’re reacting in certain ways to the events going on around you.
Tom’s eight week programme will allow you time to understand and learn the fundamental principles and allow time for discussion to help you unlock your true potential personally and at work.
Toward the end of the eight weeks Tom will devise an action plan with you so you can start living toward your desired future.

Our first 30 minute consultation is included in the price and allows us the opportunity to get to know each other and gives me the chance to find out more about what you want to achieve through the sessions so that I can tailor them to your needs.
What will the eight week course cover?
Weeks 1 and 2
This is the biology bit. I believe that a bit of education goes a long way and I want you to understand your brain a little better, how it works and how this impacts on your daily life.
We will talk over scenarios that you’ve had in the past and try to break them down to consider what alternative actions could have been taken as a result.
We will lastly look at any thoughts you’re having at the moment that are getting in your way and call them out for what they are; just thoughts.
Weeks 3 and 4
Here we dip our toe into taking some action, or not depending on what you want to achieve. You might be concerned you’re not taking enough action and want to break through that personal barrier or you may consider yourself a pushover who says yes to everyone. These weeks really allow to us look at what action you can and cannot take and some of the implications of these to help prepare you for any outcome that may occur.
The key feature for this section is focussing on what you can control while acknowledging that life will still provide us with aspects that we cannot control. What we do with this information will determine our responses.
Weeks 5 and 6
We take a step back here and focus on Mindfulness techniques. The world has so much going on and our own little personal worlds have so much that we often forget to switch off fully from it. Sleep is impacted and so is clarity on what we’re looking for.
We will look at mindfulness techniques throughout the course but it is in these weeks that we look at mindfulness in more detail and its benefits to you in your own context.
Weeks 7 and 8
To round off the sessions we discover your values. These are our underpinning fundamentals and the lens at which we see the world. They can vary slightly over time but we’ll assess what is important to you now so you know who you are, and more importantly start giving you permission to say yes and no to things guilt free.
Lastly, we look take a look at some goals and formulate an image as to what you want in your life.
